GUESS WHO GOT DARKSIDE CHRONICLES THIS WEEK?? ;D
Oh lawd. I've been anticipating this thing for about a year now, almost as much as I was anticipating Resident Evil 5. This game is special because its basically compressing my favourite older Resident Evil games and giving it good graphics and a rail shooter. So, for those who are actually interested in Resident Evil, I shall review to you what was good and bad:
LOVED:
- Glorious amount of Claire x Steve

- Acceptable amount of Leon x Ada
- Used many original voiceovers
- Alfred is twice as insane as he was before (how this was even possible is beyond me)
- Steve is amazing (and hot)
- Leon has not stopped using his infamous puns
- The cheesy Resident Evil dialogue of yore is still there
- Krauser is awesome
- Many details from the original games were included
- Cutscenes were very beautiful, especially considering its a Wii game
- Gameplay has improved from Umbrella Chronicles
- There is a very amusing mini-game that revolves around the original unlockable character in RE2, "Tofu" ;D
- Wesker's presence is orgasm-inducing (as per usual)
- Leon gives Mr.X the name Trenchy. I stopped laughing about five minutes later when I realized that "Trenchy" had smashed Leon's head in.
HATED:
- Unfortunately, Manuella turned out to be the epitome, no, the EMBODIMENT of mary sue-dom
- While Leon's chivalrous efforts are admirable, nowadays people can take the slightest gesture of kindness and turn it into a pairing, which only encourages the idea that Leon is a man whore -_-;
- Needs moar Wesker (but then, I could say that about any Resident Evil game)
- Needs moar Ada (I was hoping for a playthrough with her

)
- Steve's voiceover is not as incredible as the original (cause the original grew on me >_> )
- Alfred lost his MAWHAHAHAHA laugh D:
- They changed Alexia's character alot from the original in terms of her relationship with her brother
- Some of the cutscenes did not manage to express the characters emotions in contrast to what they were saying (I blame the Wii)
- Steve kept his pants on in THE SCENE (you Code Veronica people know what Im talking about) but they turned out like Hulk pants, so it took away from the seriousness of the situation XD
So, yeah

Overall it was a great game, I enjoy it greatly and I can forgive its downfalls. It took me about 8 hours to beat it total, but I know I'm still going to be going through it with my friends and for bonus content. STEEEEEEEVE COME BACK WE MISS YOUUU *cough* anyway, thats my opinion on the game. If you've played it yourself, I'd love to hear yours

ARTTTT. Art is coming, friends. I promise you. I currently have about 5 things in the works

So don't lose hope in me, yes?
Next game on the list: Silent Hill Shattered Memories 8D Can't wait for this baby. I don't think as many people understand Silent Hill here as they do Resident Evil, so I probs won't review it fully, but I shall report if it was enjoyed (Which I am convinced it will be)
